New `terminator'

MADURAI: Sree Ramcides Chemicals has come out with a mosquito repellent spray, `STOP,' that was used by the Army, for public use.

Developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation, the spray is based on a pharma product — Diethyl Phenyl Acetamide.

Says C. Kandasamy, general manager of the agro chemicals manufacturing concern, "We have got the licence to manufacture the product for civilian use after a `transfer of technology' agreement with the Ministry of Defence."

It was launched in the Temple City on Sunday by R. Padmanaban, managing director of the company.
