Speed up results, demand students

KORAPUT : Students of Degree colleges in undivided Koraput district appearing for their examinations under Berhampur University are sure to get the results, days after they are declared like the previous years. The university authorities have not heard their repeated demands to declare the results by Internet like other universities, the students alleged.

In the age of Internet and results appearing at a faster rate by even small organisations in the country, the university, for unknown reasons has not updated its database in its website, leave alone publishing the results on the Internet. The website of the university was last updated on 26th August of 2004. It is managed by NIC, the same unit managing many other organisations effectively.

Now without the results on the Internet, the students are forced to wait for at least a week's time to receive their results. They have demanded to update the website of the university and publish the results this year.
