Attendance: special exams for affected students

Special Correspondent

Coaching classes to be conducted for these students in March-April

HYDERABAD: Softening its earlier stand, the Government here on Tuesday announced that special examinations would be conducted in May/June for the candidates who were not allowed to appear in the ongoing Intermediate examinations on the grounds of insufficient attendance.

Both arts and science students--first year as well as second year--can avail themselves of this facility. Special coaching classes will be conducted in March-April to prepare them for the special exams.

The Chief Minister quoted rules of the Board of Intermediate Education to say that 75 per cent attendance was compulsory for first as well as second year students.
