NEW DELHI:
The Union Tourism Ministry has prepared a Rs. 39.34-crore comprehensive project to improve the vicinity of the Taj Mahal.
The Ministry has already sanctioned Rs. 7.67 crore for insfrastructure improvement from the East Gate and Rs. 7.58 crore from the West Gate as part of the "Agra revitalisation and visitor management for Taj Mahal" project, Tourism Minister Ambika Soni told the Rajya Sabha.
The components will include covering of drains, development of a rose garden, upgrading roads, improvement of the Shah Jahan Park, an archaeological park and upgrading the green bus corridor to the monument.
