`Progress of Devadula project work very slow'

Completion of pump house before March doubtful: Kirloskars
|
HYDERABAD:
Progress of the Devadula project was "very slow" and the civil works of even one of the four pump houses were so far not completed, according to Kirloskars Brothers Ltd., suppliers of pumps, motors and electro-mechanical equipment.
A release issued by the company here on Monday, while referring to the Government's promise to provide irrigation water for the kharif season, said that only civil works of Dharmasagar pump house were in advanced stage.
It stated that completion of the pump houses before March was doubtful and that the company was giving full cooperation to the Irrigation and Command Area Development Department. It said that there were delays in getting clearances from the forest department which had affected pipeline work.
