ONGC unit observes National Safety Day

Safety pledge administered to all employees

Rajahmundry: ONGC, Rajahmundry Asset, celebrated 36th National Safety Day here on Tuesday. A.A. Khan, Executive Director and Asset Manager, administered the safety pledge to all the employees. AMK Murthy, DGM (P), Head HSE during the welcome address, highlighted the achievements of the Asset during the year 2006, like the Rig E-1400-17 winning the prestigious Green tech Safety Excellence Gold Award and the honour of the "HSE Excellence Award" in the individual category conferred on Mr. A. A. Khan, ED by the Green Foundation. He said that the year 2006 had been incident free for the Rajahmundry Asset.

PSV Rao, GM-Support Manager, expressed concern over poor road safety practices. Y.V. Jayarama, GM-Head Engineering Services, during his address, pointed out the need to comply with safety not only in workplace but also at our homes and in public places. B.N. Jha, GM-Head Well services, stated that lack of concern for safety could lead us to grave consequences.

Art exhibition

Mayor A. Veera Raghavamma inaugurated solo art exhibition of Guvvala Padma in Anam Rotary Hall on Tuesday.

Commissioner of Enquiries Chandana Khan, who was the Chief Guest, recalled her association with fine arts during her college days.
