Krishna water for Rayalaseema urged

KADAPA: The parched Rayalaseema region should be given 200 tmcft of Krishna water for irrigating the ayacut and making the region fertile, said Pathasarathy, former Kadiri MLA and MLC candidate from Rayalaseema west graduates constituency, on Tuesday.

A BJP-sponsored candidate, Mr. Parthasarathy told a press conference here that he would strive to get Krishna water for the region if he was elected Member of Legislative Council.

He recalled that BJP staged `Sasyasyamala Yatras' in the past demanding expeditious completion of irrigation projects.

Lure of money

Hoping that influence of money would be minimal in the MLC elections, he appealed to graduates to cast their votes without being influenced by any sort of lures. BJP State executive member A. Harinath Reddy and district secretary V.V. Chalapati also participated.
