KARIMNAGAR: Collector M.V. Satyanarayana has instructed Education Department authorities to gear up for the smooth conduct of SSC examination beginning March 21.

Participating at an orientation meeting with exam chief superintendents, additional chief superintendents, department officers and others at the Bhagavathi High School in Karimnagar town on Tuesday, he said that 63,987 students would appear for examination from 268 centres in the district. He informed the authorities concerned to impose Section 144 at all examination centres and closure of Xerox centres. DEO Surender Reddy instructed students to wear only civil dress for the examination and not school uniforms or identity cards. He told them carry their hall-tickets, pens and pencils and nothing else.
