Woman killed by dacoits

NALGONDA: A woman was brutally murdered while her husband and son were grievously injured by an alleged gang of dacoits at Kurmed village of Chintapally mandal in the early hours of Tuesday.According to information reaching here, some unidentified persons attacked Sapavat Ramkoti (45), his wife Tulasamma (38) and their son Pruthviraj (13) when they were fast asleep in their isolated home at Kurmed. They bludgeoned their heads with a pestle resulting in the instantaneous death of the woman,Nampally Inspector K.N.Vijay Kumar told reporters. The police called for a clues team and a dog squad to trace the culprits.

In another incident, a farmer Chintakayala Venu (32) was axed to death by a group of persons at his field in Raigiri of Yadagirigutta mandal on Monday evening.

Police sources said that he had a land dispute with his cousin for a long time.
