KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar town police sprang a surprise on Tuesday evening by conducting `search and seizure' operation in the town by reinforcing additional forces from various parts of the district following intelligence reports about intrusion of suspected Maoists into the town. Following the directions of Y. Gangadhar, SP, the police forces were conducting door-to-door searches in the slums, shops, and at the VIP residential areas. Vehicles were also being checked on all the roads and passengers were also being screened at the Karimnagar bus station complex.
