Telangana will be a reality after May: KCR

Sangareddy: "Former Siddipet legislator Guravareddy has been asking me when Telangana would be a reality. I told him that it would happen after May this year," said Telangana Rastra Samithi chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao said at the valedictory function of Siddipet Government Degree College's yearlong Golden jubilee celebrations. However he did not elaborate on that issue.

Mr. Rao who is an alumnus of the college said that the campus had bestowed on him skills that he late put to use in spearheading movement for Telangana. He alleged that the State Government had been paying twice as much grant-in-aid to Guntur district alone compared to that of the whole Telangana region. He wanted the people of Telangana to remember that the demand was not for a separate Telangana but restoration of the State of Telangana.

Supreme Court Judge B. Sudarshan Reddy in his presidential address called for equitable development of all regions as it was the fundamental right of every citizen. Mentor of TRS and think tank Jayashankar, Siddipet MLA T.Harish Rao, Dommata MLA S.Ramalinga Reddy, College principal A.Muralidhar also spoke.
