Ex-ADGP set to turn voluntary worker
Special Correspondent
AHMEDABAD:
The former Gujarat Additional Director-General of Police, R.B. Sreekumar, who continues to fight legal battles against Chief Minister Narendra Modi, even after retiring from service on February 28, is all set to turn a voluntary worker.
Mr. Sreekumar is expected to join the Mumbai-based voluntary organisation, Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) and work with its convenor Teesta Setalvad, who had been almost single-handedly fighting the cases of the riot victims in the Supreme Court.
Mr. Sreekumar had filed a series of affidavits before the Nanavati-Shah judicial inquiry commission accusing Mr. Modi of complicity in the 2002 riots.
