MANGALORE: MLA of Surathkal Krishna J. Palemar and a few other BJP MLAs have expressed dismay over the untimely transfer of Police Inspector Jayanth Shetty from Ullal police station. Speaking to the presspersons here on the sidelines of the inauguration of Patrika Bhavan Mr. Palemar said the seven MLAs and two MPs in Dakshina Kannada district did not want Mr. Shetty to be transferred. None of the BJP legislators knew about the transfer, Mr. Palemar said. Mr. Palemar said that he did believe that the Chief Minister and the Home Minister had given their assent to transfer Mr. Shetty without consulting the people's representatives of Dakshina Kannada. He said that the MLAs of the district had taken the matter to the Deputy Chief Minister.
