Though it is a week since the Kerala Water Authority finished repairing the leak across the road from the Keltron complex, the patch of road dug up to for the work is yet to be re-tarred. The result is a huge dip in the otherwise well-tarred road that has become dangerous for motorists, especially at night. This is in spite of the special cones placed along the boundary of the dug up section of the road. The delay in re-tarring also meant a reduction in the effective carriageway on this road that carries heavy traffic throughout the day. The KWA took a long time to rectify this leak claiming they needed permission to dig the road tarred by the Punj Lloyd firm. Now no one is sure whose permission is needed to re-tar this road.
