5.82 lakh students take Inter IInd year exam

HYDERABAD: The Intermediate Public Examinations 2007, began here on Tuesday with a total of 5,82,723 students who had registered for the second year second language paper II and General Foundation Course paper II.

The examination began after Board of Intermediate Education secretary R.P. Sisodia drew the lot for Set I. As many as 23,860 candidates were absent on the first day while 60 were booked for malpractice in 1981 centres.
