Probe on into theft at church

Thiruvananthapuram:
The rural police have begun investigating the theft at St. Xavier's Church, Pallimukku, in Villapilsala police station limits, on Monday night.
Nearly Rs.800 was stolen from the two `offering box' in front of the shrine located near Peyad, said the police. Amplifiers and mikes were also stolen from the church.
The incident came to light when the priest, Stalin Raj, opened the church on Tuesday morning.
Fingerprint experts visited the church and collected evidence. The dog squad was also pressed into service.
