Water supply to be hit

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Water supply in the city will be disrupted on Thursday and will be restored to normalcy only late in the evening, according to a Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board release on Wednesday.

The reservoir at Torekadinahalli (T.K. Halli) did not receive power for three hours from the Central Grid station at Maddur, which meant that water could not be transferred to the reservoirs at Harohalli and Tataguni, a BWSSB spokesperson said. Water from Tataguni reservoir is distributed to the city's ground level reservoirs. "The ground level reservoirs are almost empty and will take about 15 hours to be filled up," the spokesperson said.
