KATHMANDU: Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) Chairman Prachanda on Thursday expressed his commitment to return public property seized by the Maoists during the conflict. The former guerilla chief also promised to help those families displaced during their ``people's war'' return to their homeland to ensure that the Constituent Assembly elections are held by mid-June. Mr. Prachanda urged his party members to cooperate during the arms registration as per the comprehensive peace accord. He directed his party mechanism to ensure that a code of conduct was formulated in accordance with the policies of his party to ensure that free and fair elections were held. Xinhua
