Sangareddy: The Medak police arrested one of the directors of MNR Medical College in connection with the alleged assault on the crew of a private television channel. Within a day of arresting MNR Medical College Public Relations Officer Venkataramana, the police arrested one of its directors and accused Vasu Verma.
Speaking to newsmen, Medak Superintendent of Police R.B.Naik said that there is no prima facie evidence against another director Ravi Verma.
Mr. Vasu Verma who was produced before the press refuted all allegations and maintained that a crew from a satellite news channel entered the premises without permission while the MCI inspection was in progress and were handed over to the campus security.
Referring to the alleged malpractice of hiring fake patients and doctors, Mr. Vasu Verma said that the names of all the 205-strong teaching staff could be accessed from the college website.
