Lucknow: The in-charge of Hazratganj police station has been suspended for negligence in duty following the daylight murder of a Samajwadi Party corporator from Gorakhpur here, officials said on Thursday. Inspector General Chhavinath Singh suspended incharge of Hazratganj police station P K Singh after Gorakhpur corporator Afzal Faizi was shot dead on Wednesday by unidentified men near Sriram Tower allegedly over a railway contract dispute. Singh is also looking into the role of a Circle Officer and ASP following charges of laxity. - PTI
