RWF staff irked over transfer orders

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Employees of the Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), Yelahanka, near here, will wear black badges on Friday in protest against the Railway Board's "unilateral" decision to transfer some of them to the Wheel Project at Railway Minister Lalu Prasad's constituency of Chapra.

The staff council of RWF in a statement here said that the employees had done a commendable job in producing record number of wheels, axles and wheel sets, thereby helping the Government save valuable foreign exchange.

Mr. Shivaramu urged the Railway Board to withdraw the transfer orders immediately.
