BHUBANESWAR: Though Utkal University authorities decided to hold elections to students' union, the task may not be that easy if the Lyngdoh Commission recommendations were to be obeyed in true spirit. The PG Council, which met on Wednesday to discuss the issue, could not arrive at any conclusive decision. The authorities were in a tight spot as the two groups of students had threatened to create law and order situation. Vice-Chancellor L.N. Mishra sought opinion from Advocate-General Bijoy K. Mohanti. The PG Council will again meet soon to decided amendments in the university constitution for conducting elections.
