State Tourism Board's stall set to be a big draw at world fair

11,000 companies from 184 nations are particiapting in the event being held in Berlin

HYDERABAD: The State Tourism Board's stall at the International Tourism Bourse (ITB), the world's biggest tourism fair being held in Berlin, is set to woo hundreds of travel agents seeking attractive destinations to recommend to their customers.

Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni inaugurated the Indian pavilion at the Berlin Travel and Tourism Expo on Wednesday and also visited the Andhra Pradesh stall.

Projects

A record 11,000 companies from 184 nations are promoting their holiday destinations at the fair till March 11and India is in the spotlight as this year's ITB `Partner' country, according to a press release.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman T.K.Diwan and Secretary, Tourism, Chitra Ramachandran addressed the tour operators and travel agents' conference and highlighted the religious, heritage and eco tourism projects in the State and fast developing infrastructure projects.
