Prostitution racket busted, 7 held
Three women, including the pimp, were arrested at PVR Saket in South Delhi on Wednesday by a Crime Branch team. The police said the pimp had hired the two girls -- who were paraded before decoy customers -- from Kolhapur in Maharashtra and Kolkata. She had also arranged for the accommodation for the two girls at Pushp Vihar in South Delhi, the police said. The accused also used to send the girls with her rich clients as escorts out of the city. In the second case, the police arrested Neeraj Sharma and Sanjay Gautam along with two girls at Sector-2 Rohini in North-West Delhi. Neeraj and Sanjay have been allegedly involved in running prostitution rackets since 2000. Sanjay was earlier arrested in Rohini in 2000.

The application bore Mahesh Kumar's photo and a verification certificate purportedly issued by an Army officer along with other forged documents. A case was registered at Special Cell police station of Lodhi Colony on March 6 and on the same day Mahesh Kumar and passport agent Manish Chaudhary were arrested while they were returning from the passport office.
