SCB demolishes illegal units

HYDERABAD: The Secunderabad Cantonment Board on Thursday demolished five out the 14 duplex units that had come up illegally on Nicholson Road near Chandulal Bowli. According to Secunderabad Cantonment Board officials, the duplex units were demolished after the three builders behind the construction were issued notices for several violations including the structures coming up without necessary setbacks.

The builders had been issued notices for the remaining nine units as well, and these would also be demolished in case they did not make the required changes, the officials said.
