No information on Pune horse trader: IT official

HYDERABAD:
The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh region, D. V. Dharmik, has said that there was no information on the raids being conducted by the department officials on huge properties and assets allegedly owned by Pune horse trader Hasan Ali Razvi.
Replying to questions at a press conference here on Thursday, Mr. Dharmik said that he was not aware of any such raids. Asked if there were any raids, he said like mediapersons, he also saw the news being flashed on the television channels.
On persistent questioning, the IT Chief Commissioner said he would check the details with his Pune counterpart and come back with information, if it was available. He said IT officials from other States could conduct raids and prior information is always passed to the officials concerned. He said in this particular instance, he had no such information.
Meanwhile, officials of various Government departments began inquiries in the city about Hasan Ali following reports that he hailed from Hyderabad. The Government is verifying reports that Ali owned a building in Saidabad and another one in Banjara Hills. Ali reportedly sold the building in Saidabad and rented out the one in Banjara Hills.
