DRDO awards for Bangalore scientists

BANGALORE:
Three scientists from Bangalore have received the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) national awards for their outstanding performance.
M. Natarajan, scientific adviser to the Defence Minister, presented the awards recently in New Delhi.
S. Ganesh, working in the Gas Turbine Research Establishment, was given the young scientist award for his contribution to design and analysis of afterburner system for Kaveri engine.
T. Raghuram, working in the Defence Bio-Engineering and Electromedical Laboratory, won the award for the design and development of dilution demand oxygen breathing regulator.
S. Vijayalakshmi, working in the Centre for Artificial Intelligence, received best performance award for enhancing the utility of terrain functionalities in command information decision support system.
