Summer school

Free camp

Kidney clinic opened

On the occasion of World Kidney Day, noted film Kannada star Vishnuvardhan inaugurated a Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention Clinic at the Apollo Hospitals here. Nephrologists, nutritionists, counsellor and other consultants will man the clinic.

Excellence award

R.P. Singh, chairman and managing director of Power Grid Corporation of India has been awarded the "SCOPE Award for Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to the Public Sector Management — individual category for 2005-06" in recognition of his leadership and contribution towards growth of Power Grid as well as the Indian power sector.

Bicycle rally

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Fitness One, a health and fitness centre chain organised a bicycle rally to pay tribute to Mother Earth.
