NEW DELHI: Samsung India on Friday announced that it had re-christened its IT peripherals division as the `Digital Imaging Solutions' business, targeting a 100 per cent jump in LCD monitor sales in volume terms and 50 per cent increase in printer sales. For realising the new targets, several initiatives had been taken to further strengthen the digital imaging solutions business, besides launching new products. Along with the new initiatives, Samsung rolled out three advanced, feature rich, premium LCD monitor series Myst, Mendel and Mobius in the 17" to 22" screen size segment. While announcing the new initiatives, Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, and Sanjay Sharma, Vice-President (Digital Imaging Solutions Business), said, "Our strategy to grow our LCD business will be to create consumer awareness.''
