Training course on human rights

Belgaum: With a view to sensitise members of public, government officials, volunteers of non-governmental organisations and teachers, the city-based Raja Lakhamgouda Law College will co-host a three-day training course on human rights here from March 12.

The programme is sponsored by the National Human Rights Commission and Institute of Public Administration, Karnataka Regional branch. The course is designed to train government officials, members of NGOs and faculty members of law and political science.

Principal of RLL College D.Y. Kulkarni said here on Wednesday that human rights have assumed great significance in the present rapidly changing days under the impact of globalisation. It was therefore imperative on the part of all to become aware of human rights, its significance and to check its violations. Eminent personalities wil eliver special lectures at the meet.
