Krishnagiri: Members of the Krishnagiri District Unemployed Physical Education Teachers Association observed a fast in front of the Collectorate here on Friday demanding the State Government to fill vacancies in all middle schools in the State. The association district secretary, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, led the fast. The teachers asked the Government to withdraw the Government Order 525 and make appointments based on the strength of students in a school. They asked the Government to appoint regional physical education inspectors in all schools in the State. The Government should appoint physical education directors in upgraded middle and high schools, they added. P. Pownraj, district secretary of the Tamil Nadu Physical Education Teachers Association attended.
