What the professionals say

KOLKATA: Professionals voice their opinion on the Nanoli Stud Sprinters' Cup and Olympia Technology Park Stayers' Cup:

VIJAY SINGH: The Sprinters' Cup is a stiff race: Oyster Cove, Evatina and Atmosphere are the chief contenders. In the Stayers' Cup, I hope I can do it with Aperitivo.

ROBIN CORNER: The Sprinters' Cup is very open — Caprese and Haunting Memories should fight it out. For the Stayers Cup, Aperitivo is my choice.

JAVED KHAN: I feel the Sprinters field is wide open; it's between Haunting Memories and Atmosphere, who was unlucky last time at Mumbai. Aperitivo is the best in the Stayers' Cup.

SHEHZAD ABBAS: Keep an eye on Hyderabad's Gentleman's Deal in the Stayers; he is an improving four-year-old who stays every inch.

M. K. JADHAV: My ward Atmosphere sat down in the starting gates and missed the kick last time out. She has travelled well and should run accordingly. — Compiled by Anil Mukhi
