HASSAN: "Our family is indebted to Hassan district and every effort will be made to make this the number one district in the State," Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has said. He was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for the multi-crore Gopiram Goenka (Go Go) International Garment Stitching and Fabric Processing Plant here on Friday. He said his father, former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, had dreamt of making Hassan a full-fledged industrial city during his terms as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. He sanctioned Special Economic Zones in Hassan. Mr. Kumaraswamy complimented Managing director of Go Go International Shama Sunder Goenka for setting up the unit in Hassan . Mr. Shama Sunder Goenka said this plant would employ10,000 people .
