Rebel Congress candidates expelled

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday expelled five candidates for a period of six years for remaining in fray against the official nominee in the Council elections.

PCC chief K. Keshava Rao, in a press release, said Gorle Hari Babu (Srikakulam), B. Venkateswara Rao (West Godavari), Vallepu Raghavulu (Prakasam), C. Somanna (Nalgonda) and Padala Venkatrama Reddy (E. G. district) have been expelled from the party.
