THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas said here on Friday that the State Budget for 2007-08 lacked practical measures to check price rise and solve the problems of the common man. The State president said the State was withdrawing from poverty elimination programmes as could be seen from the abandoning of Ashraya Scheme. There was no proposal in the Budget to increase agricultural incomes. Mr. Krishnadas said instead of addressing problems such as price rise, the Finance Minister was putting all the blame on the economic policies of the Union Government.
