RTC nets a revenue of Rs. 20 cr. more

HYDERABAD :
Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation on Thursday has netted an additional revenue of Rs. 20 crores more in February 2007, compared to the same month last year, having crossed an occupancy ratio of 70 per cent.
Senior officials revealed this during a briefing they gave to Transport Minister K. Lakshminarayana in the premises of the Legislative Assembly.
A growth of 15.38 per cent was registered by February end this year, with revenue being put at Rs. 3,358.10 crores against Rs. 2,910.43 crores last year.
Average vehicle productivity per day went up 12 km from 334 to 346 km and the corporation transported just over 1.25 crore passengers a day, said A. Nageswara Rao, Executive Director, Training and Coordination.
