HYDERABAD: Alleged property dispute among brothers led to the murder of one Lingala Raju (28), a resident of Ambedkar Colony in Malkajgiri, in the wee hours of Friday. According to the police, Raju developed a quarrel with his six brothers over a 60-yard plot where he was residing. The brothers had planned to sell the plot and share the revenue among themselves which Raju refused. Raju was allegedly beaten up with sticks on his head by his four brothers, said Malkajgiri Inspector K.Muthaiah.
Murder plan: 4 held
Four persons, who were allegedly planning to commit a murder, were arrested by the police at S.R. Nagar. Six hunting sickles were seized from their possession. Among the arrested persons was the prime accused Shaik Jaffar, 32, who was plotting to avenge the killing of his brother Shaik Mohammed by one Wahed and his gang in June last. Jaffar reportedly vowed to eliminate his brother's `killers' and sought the assistance of Saleem, Moosa and Mohd. Saleem. On a tip-off, the Commissioner's Task Force (West) team raided Jaffar's house at Borabanda and arrested him along with his three associates.
