Two children killed in accidents

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Two children have been killed in separate road accidents in the city since Thursday.

A third class student was killed when she came under the wheels of a van near her house at Quli Qutub Shahnagar in Golconda on Friday. Sania Begum (7), daughter of Mohd. Arif, was going to her school when the van driver, who was yet to be identified, rammed into her.

A seven-year-old boy was killed when an autorickshaw ran over him at a bus stop in Langer Houz on Thursday. The police said M. Hari Krishna and his mother Hemalatha were waiting to board a bus when the autorickshaw driver came in a negligent manner and hit him.

Hemalatha, however, escaped unhurt.
