Proficiency course

English Language Training Centre (ELTC) at Nizam College is offering proficiency course for 45 days from March 12. Fee is Rs.1,500 and it can be paid through challan or DD in favour of Principal, Nizam College. Details are available from Director, ELTC.

Handicrafts expo

Channapatna-based Umeia Handicraft Association under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles is organising a 10-day handicrafts exhibition at Zorastrain Club Hall beside Yatri Nivas, Secunderabad, from Sunday. The exhibition will be open to public from 10 a.m. to 9 a.m.

3 SBH ATMs opened

The State Bank of Hyderabad opened three ATM centres in Hyderabad and nine across the State on Friday, according to a release.

Literacy festival

The Young Orators Club is organising `ORATORIO-2007', a literary festival for students at YMCA Secunderabad on Saturday and Sunday. The competition includes debate, creative writing, book review, group discussion, stress interview, mock interview, antakshri etc and will commence at 10 a.m.

Women's day fete

Rachel Chatterjee, Transco CMD, has advised women employees in the power sector not to hanker after concessions but try to put in their best in every assignment. She was addressing a gathering of 500 women employees at Vidyuth Soudha here on the occasion of International Women's Day on Thursday.
