MCH talks tough on building use norms

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The MCH has reiterated that as per Section 441 of the HMC Act, no building will be permitted to be used for other than the purpose for which building is accorded.

And, if the usage of any building is noticed against the permitted purpose, it may result in disconnection of electricity and water supply as directed by the High Court.

The corporation has cautioned the general public against converting permitted usage of building to other uses.

It has also said that the every owner is required to submit completion certificate issued by licensed technical personnel for obtaining occupancy certificate and no person should occupy unless such a certificate is issued by it.

Occupancy certificate will be issued if the construction is carried out in accordance with the sanctioned plan and any contravention of the sanctioned plan is liable for demolition, according to a press release.
