BELLARY: The road leading to Hampi from Hospet will be developed at a cost of Rs. 5.31 crore, B. Sriramulu, Minister for Tourism and Infrastructure Development has said. Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, he said the Cabinet, which met on Thursday, had approved several proposals for tourism and infrastructure development. Apart from improving the road to Hampi, via Kaddirampur village, and developing Kodachadri Betta in Shimoga, the proposals included upgradation of existing airports in Hubli and providing land and funds for new airports in other places in the State. The Government had approved the proposal to allot land for the Gulbarga and Hassan airports, besides allotting Rs. 20 crore each for the airports, he said and added that the AAI had come forward to develop the two airports.
