Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Over 60 inmates of the hostel of the College for Women, Kothi, fell sick on Saturday reportedly after taking contaminated drinking water.

They were shifted to Ronal Ross Institute of Tropical Diseases, Nallakunta, and a private hospital in Kachiguda for treatment. While some were discharged after being treated as outpatients, many of them were admitted. Doctors said their condition was out of danger.

Sultanbazar police said municipal authorities have collected samples of the drinking water.
