Namdhari quits Jharkhand Assembly

Ranchi: Janata Dal (United) MLA Inder Singh Namdhari resigned from the Jharkhand Assembly on Sunday night. He submitted his resignation to Speaker Alamgir Alam.

On Saturday, he threatened to quit the party and the Assembly if the party candidate for the Palamau Lok Sabha byelection did not pull out in favour of the BJP candidate. While the BJP chose Jawahar Paswan, the JD (U) fielded Jitendra Paswan. — PTI
