Medical camp

A medical camp for inmates of PAPA home was conducted at Visakha Regional Police Hospital on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Police K.V. Venugopal Rao inaugurated the camp. A team of doctors consisting of P. Venugopal, K. Venkatachalam and Kamal Ahmed took part. PAPA home president R.V. Raju spoke.

Friendly match

The VPT organised a 20-over friendly cricket match between the VPT Chairman XI (officers) and DRM XI (officers) on Sunday. Putting up 147 runs on the board the Railway team won as the host team scored 127. Port Trust Deputy Chairman M.S. Rao and DRM Indra Ghosh led the teams. Port chairman K. R. Kishore gave away the prizes.

Dattatreya campaign

BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya will arrive here on Tuesday to campaign for Janapareddy Pridhviraj, BJP-sponsored contestant for the Legislative Council.

Cultural show

The Jassver English Medium School in Lawson's Bay Colony conducted a cultural programme of students of KG and first standard on Sunday to highlight to parents what had been taught. Principal Annapurna Devi participated.

Safety run at HZL

Safety run was conducted at Hindustan Zinc on Sunday. A.K.Jain, Head (Operations) and Chairman of Central Safety Committee, and S. Kanakeswara Rao flagged off the run. Students of Zinc Smelter Senior Secondary School and the Telugu Medium School participated.
