Results

Karnataka Public Services Commission (KPSC) has published the results of the departmental examinations of 2006 II session in the offices of the commission, offices of the principals DIET/DDPIs of the Department of Public Instruction. The results along with the marks obtained by the candidates are available in the commission's website http://kpsc.kar.nic.in. The unsuccessful candidates can submit applications for re-totalling within 30 days from the date of publication of the results. The KPSC has also invited applications for the departmental examinations 2007 I session to be held in June 2007. The last date fixed for submission of applications is April 7, 2007.

Passports

The Regional Passport Office has dispatched the passport by processing the applications with file numbers in the following series, Series A (submitted on January 29), Series B (January 31), Series C (January 31), Series E (February 22), Series K (February 26), Series M (January 18), Series N (February 13) and Series W (January 31). The passport office has kept pending the files where it has not received police reports and where there are objections. Expedition

Youth Hostels Association (YHAI) of India will conduct the National Himalayan Trekking expedition from April 14 in Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. The 11-day Saurkundi Pass will be held from April 25; the 11-day Sar Pass from May 1; the 12-day Kedarnath Pass from May 1; the eight-day nature study- cum-trekking will be held from April 25; and the eight-day Sandakphu-Darjeeling trek from April 14.
