Double for Vizag Circle

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam Circle claimed both the pairs and team event in the bridge competition of the inter-Circle tournaments conducted by the Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited of AP here on Sunday.

C. Syamala Rao and Sulaiman Baig of Visakhapatnam won the pairs event and C. Syamala Rao's team representing Visakhapatnam won the team event.

Rajesh of Hyderabad Metro Zone won the tennis singles title, while his team claimed the team title.

The winners: Bridge: Pairs: 1. C. Syamala Rao and Sulaiman Baig (Vskp), 2. J. Venkateswara Rao and T. Srinivas (Vij), 3. Nagarajaswamy and partner (Kad).

Team: 1. Visakhapatnam (C. Syamala Rao's), 2. Vijayawada (J. Venkateswara Rao's).

Tennis: Singles: 1. Rajesh (Hyd), 2. Bheemeswara Rao (VSP). Doubles: 1. Srinivasa Reddy/ Ashok (Nel), 2. Srinivasa Rao and Rajesh (Hyd Metro Zone). Team: 1. Hyderabad Metro Zone, 2. Tirupati, 3. Visakhapatnam.
