Assistant PP job applications

WARANGAL: The applications for the assistant public prosecutor jobs would be made available at the district police headquarters till March 24.

Those interested may obtain the same by paying Rs. 20 at Sounjanya Sudha building near the Control Room on the police campus. The filled-in applications would be accepted between March 19 and 24, Superintendent of Police, Soumya Mishra said.-Staff Reporter

APSP medical test

WARANGAL: The medical test for the selected candidates of APSP 15th battalion constable recruitment would be held from March 14 at district police headquarters.

Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra urged the candidate to come prepared to stay for two days at Warangal. They were asked to bring hall tickets which was given before the recruitment process began.-Staff Reporter

Man murdered

KURNOOL: A youth identified as Ankanna, 23, was stabbed to death at Nehru Nagar in Allagadda town of Kurnool district on Monday.

According to reports, Ankanna reportedly fell in love with the daughter of Jamal Basha who stabbed Ankanna with a knife. He died on the way to hospital. Police are investigating.-Special Correspondent

KADAPA: An assistant engineer in Kadapa Municipal Corporation Annareddy Vijaykumar Reddy has been elected vice-president of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Engineers Association. Another engineer in Kadapa corporation Abid Hussain was elected joint secretary of the association. Staff Reporter

Red sanders seized

KADAPA: Forest officials searched a stationary lorry near Thellaneellakunta in Vanipenta forest range in Mydukur area and seized red sander logs weighing about three tonnes, valued at about Rs. 1 lakh on Monday, according to Vanipenta forest range officer Ravindra Reddy. Staff Reporter

Student ends life

NELLORE: An Intermediate first year student P. Voletamma (16) of Jawahar Bharati Junior College in Kavali committed suicide by jumping into a well at Durgabai Deshmukh Women's Hostel on Sunday. According to the police, she had an altercation with some senior students in the morning. The police said that they found two letters written by her. - Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: Twenty tribals received minor injuries on Monday when the police made on lathicharge on them at Utnoor when they tried to gatecrash the office of the ITDA Project Officer.
