ISBA wins team titles

NEW DELHI: Indian Boxing and Sports Academy (IBSA) won the team titles in both senior and junior sections in the Delhi State boxing championship here on Monday. Himashu Chaudhary (69kg) of SAI Training Centre was adjudged the best boxer in the seniors and Rahul Ganguli (48kg) of South West district the best in the junior section.

The results: Men: 48kg: Vikrant Kalosia bt Deep Chand 3-2, 51kg: Ashok Singh bt Bhupinder Singh 3-2, 54kg: Mahesh bt Praveen RSC (OC) III, 57kg: Ajit Kumar bt Manoj Kumar 4-1, 60kg: Ram Khiladi Yadav bt Vikas Dahiya 5-0, 64kg: Satpal Singh bt Pardeep 3-2, 69kg: Himanshu Chaudhary bt Manish Kumar Retd. III, 75kg: Rahul Kumar bt Ajay Kumar 5-0, 81kg: Jasveer Singh bt Sunny Tokas 5-0, 91kg: Manoj Kumar bt Rajesh Solanki RSC (OS) III, 91kg+: Naveen Rao bt Mohit Tokas 5-0.

Junior: 48kg: Rahul Ganguli bt Amar Sharma 5-0, 51kg: Vikas bt Pawan Kumar 4-1, 54kg: Jarnail Singh bt Rahul RSC (OC) III, 57kg: Pawan Kumar bt Neeraj Chaturvedi RSC (OC) III, 60kg: Pawan Kumar bt Nitish Panwar RSC (I) III, 64kg: Deepak bt Parveen Kumar 3-2, 69kg: Ajay Singh bt Sandeep 5-0, 75kg: Roop Kanwar bt Ankur 4-1, 81kg: Varbhaya Kumar bt Sandeep 5-0, 91kg: Anand Kadam w/o Ujjwal Singh.

Gaurav shines

Gaurav Chhabra's 88 run knock helped L. B. Shastri Club defeat Tedco Group by 76 runs in the league match of the C. L. Gupta memorial Twenty20 cricket tournament here.

The scores: L.B. Shastri Club 185 for five in 20 overs (Gaurav Chhabra 88) bt Tedco Group 109 for seven in 20 overs (Sunny Arora 65).

Ekta Club posts win

Half-centuries by Rajesh Rana (57) and Kesri Sharma (55) and Ajay Vir Singh's five-wicket haul helped Ekta Club beat Raghuvir Willowers by 79 runs in the Elite group I match in the DDCA cricket league championship here.

The scores: Ekta Club 218 in 38.2 overs (Rajesh Rana 57, Kesri Sharma 55, Shiv Kumar four for 31) bt Raghuvir Willowers 139 in 36 overs (Ajay Vir Singh five for 15).
