NEW DELHI: An Army officer on Monday argued before the Delhi High Court that he had the requisite merit to be inducted into the Judge Advocate-General's Department of the Army. Lieutenant-Colonel Mukul Dev was making submission on his petition against the Army's decision not to allow his request for induction and to revert him to the Artillery. He has challenged the decision alleging that it was biased. His counsel Major (Retd.) K. Ramesh submitted before a Division Bench comprising Justice T. S. Thakur and Justice S. N. Aggarwal that the Army had withheld induction of the Lt.-Colonel into the Department saying that he had not fulfilled the requirement of 66 % attendance as laid down by the Bar Council when he took LLB exam.
