CHENNAI: Reliance Communications on Tuesday announced the launch of international roaming with Oceanic Digital, the leading CDMA operator in Jamaica. Reliance Mobile will offer roaming facility to all its post-paid customers travelling to Jamaica for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 championship. Customers can make and receive voice calls whenever they visit Jamaica. The tariff, according to a release, is local and incoming calls from Jamaica Rs. 16 per minute and international calls to India and rest of world Rs. 48 per minute.

Silicon Valley-based Mobio Networks on Tuesday announced Mobio Cricket Centre with new applications for cricket fans around the world to follow the World Cup 2007. This includes, Mobio Cricket Centre-Live!, for live scores and Mobio Cricket Centre-Fantasy, which allows users to not only follow the World Cup 2007 on their mobile phone but also enjoy a personalised experience. Mobio will release these applications in India in partnership with Indiatimes, the digital wing of the Times Group, according to a release.
